First day of kindergarten

Liam had his first day of kindergarten last week, and it went pretty well! The night before, both boys were in tears, however. Finn started to wail that he didn't want to go to school without his brother, and then Liam started in sobbing, and saying, "I'm not ready [sob] I'm not ready [sob] I'm not ready to go to school without my brother!!!" They both settled down eventually, and were ready to go the next morning.

I met Liam and Matt for lunch after Liam's first half-day of school and asked how it went. He happily proclaimed that he had played Power Rangers (the bane of our existence!) on the playground with EmiJah (the friend we had met in a playdate the week before). So basically, nothing had changed in his life. After lots of prompts, like "did you read a book? did you color? etc" he finally told me how excited he was to have chocolate milk with lunch. So I guess school made a big impression on him.
